🏛️ Bioclimatic architecture

Office and retail building in central Harare, designed by architect Mick Pearce and completed in 1996, passively ventilated through a chimney principle inspired by termite mounds. It runs without conventional air conditioning and uses markedly less energy than a comparable building. It remains occupied and in operation at the corner of Robert Mugabe Avenue and Second Street.
