Koljern (verre cellulaire)

Building system for foundations and walls made from cellular glass, developed by Åke Mård, which removes thermal bridges and avoids reinforced concrete slabs. The technology was acquired in 2014 by Foamglas Nordic, which set up a Koljern element plant at Kvissleby near Sundsvall. The original company no longer exists independently, but the product is still sold under the Foamglas brand.
