Novamont Matrìca (Porto Torres)

Biorefinery built on a former petrochemical site at Porto Torres, created in 2011 through the Matrìca joint venture between Novamont and ENI. It converts locally grown thistle into vegetable oils, bioplastics and chemical intermediates in the Matrilox range. Acquired by Versalis in October 2023, the business was merged into Novamont in November 2025.
