Laboratory led by Professor Joseph Wang, which in 2014 produced a temporary tattoo able to generate current from lactate in sweat. That device remained a proof of concept with no documented commercial follow-up. The centre continues its work on wearable sensors and body-powered biofuel cells, with recent publications in 2024 and 2025.
